Amy Carlson

 

Amy Lynn Carlson (born July 7 the 7th of July, 1968) is an American actor who is famous for her role as Linda Reagan in the CBS police procedural Blue Bloods as well as Alex Taylor on the NBC drama Third Watch, and Josie Watts in the NBC daytime soap drama Another World.



 



 Early life



 Carlson was brought up in Glen Ellyn by Robert Eugene Carlson, her father being an educator. He was born in Elmhurst ([DuPage County Illinoisnear to Chicago). She is of Swedish descent, but has roots from Smaland.



 



 Career



 1986-1992: Early career and college



 She first made it to Hollywood as a background actress in the film Lucas which starred Charlie Sheen and Corey Haim. Later, she went with her sister Betsy (Knox College) in Galesburg.
