Iliza Shlesinger

 Iliza Vie Shlesinger, born February 22, 1983 is an American comedian, actress, television host as well as executive producer and screenwriter. She was the winner of the NBC competition Last Comic Standing 2008 and has since hosted the syndicated dating program Excused as well as the TBS show Separation Anxiety.

 Shlesinger hosted Truth & Iliza, a late-night talk program on Freeform in 2017. She has six Netflix comedy specials. In April 2020, Netflix premiered her sketch comedy show The Iliza Shlesinger Sketch show.

 Iliza Vie Shlesinger was born in New York City to a Jewish family. She grew up in Dallas, Texas, where her family relocated to when she was still a baby. She was a student at Addison's private Greenhill School, Texas where she studied Spanish and was part of the school's improvisation group.

 Shlesinger has performed on ComedySportz Dallas, and studied at the University of Kansas for her freshman year. She was also part of the cast in Semester at Sea. She attended Emerson College in Boston. The college was where she studied film and edited. She was also a member in Jimmy's comedy sketch group Traveling All Stars.

 Following her graduation from college Shlesinger relocated to Los Angeles to pursue stand-up comedy. Shlesinger was a well-known member of the Whiteboy Comedy standup comedy group in Los Angeles. This brought her to The Improv in Hollywood.
